Lithium hydroxide is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula of LiOH. It is white crystalline powder, soluble in water and slightly soluble in ethanol. It has strong alkalinity. The pH of 1mol/L solution is about 14, pKb = -0.04. It is mainly used to prepare lithium salt and lithium-based grease, electrolyte of alkaline storage battery, absorption liquid of lithium bromide refrigerator, etc.

Storage Precautions
Store in a dry and clean room. Keep away from fire and heat source. Keep away from direct sunlight. Package tightly. Store separately from oxidants, acids, carbon dioxide and food chemicals. Do not mix storage. Storage area should be equipped with suitable materials to contain leakage.
Transport Considerations
During railway transportation, the dangerous goods shall be assembled in strict accordance with the dangerous goods assembling table in the Regulations on Transportation of Dangerous Goods issued by the Ministry of Railways. The packaging shall be complete and the loading shall be safe at the time of shipment. During transportation, the containers shall be ensured not to leak, collapse, fall or be damaged. It is strictly prohibited to mix and transport with oxidants, acids and food chemicals. During transportation, the transport vehicles shall be equipped with emergency treatment equipment for leakage. During transportation, the vehicles shall be protected from insolation, rain and high temperature. During highway transportation, the vehicles shall travel along the specified route. Do not stay in residential and densely populated areas.
