1. Physical and chemical properties:
white amorphous powder with easy flow. It is easy to react with oxygen, decomposes into methanol and sodium hydroxide in case of moisture or water, decomposes in the air above 126 ℃, soluble in methanol and ethanol, insoluble in benzene and toluene.
2. Uses
It is used in the production of vitamin A1, vitamin B1, long-acting sulfonamide, sulfadiazine, trimethoprim and other pharmaceutical industries, and can also be used in the biodiesel industry. Also used as catalysts and analytical reagents.
